Tankerton Bay Sailing Club - Kent

Social

Programme

Refer to ot our full annual social calendar ending with an end-of-season Laying Up Supper. The social calendar offers an inclusive atmosphere for both sailors and non-sailing members alike, and a chance to make the most use of the clubhouse’s outstanding location and views outside of race days.

 Eat and Drink

Great beer and wine along with soft drinks, spirits & bar snacks at fantastic prices. During race days, filled rolls and hot food are also available. Good ales are brought in by the kegload for events, and our extensive private balcony gives a perfect setting for summer barbecues.

Families

All events are family friendly and in addition to outstanding sailing, we run free-sail sessions, day and evening cruises, a dinghy relay race and a Cadet Club and Series in order to enable sailors of all ages and abilities to get involved throughout the year. Novice and those new to sailing can find experienced helms to help them to get out on the water in a safe and controlled atmosphere. We are very much a family club.

Volunteering

We are managed & operated by the members, for the members. As well as a full-time committee, a rota of volunteers helps the club to run efficiently and with our best interests at heart. Volunteer duties normally amount to 2 or 3 duties per year, and can suit all abilities; a member may be doing a stint at the bar one week, and then find themselves crewing on the Support RIB a couple of months later!
